Castelrotto is embedded between wide green flowery meadows and surrounded by magic forests.
On a height of 1060 m over the sea level, Castelrotto is stretched over an area of 117,80 km² and is therefore an ideal hiking area for pleasant walks as well as strenuous excursions.
The metallic fixed rope trails and the various climbing routes invite for an unforgettable adventure. Near to quite a few leisure activities in summer, Castelrotto also offers a large selection of events like the famous Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride, taking place allover the area of Castelrotto, the concerts of the “Kastelruther Spatzen”, summer parties and more.
